04 · Our story

Candles by Shani.

Släva is the candle studio of Shanika Fernando, the “Shani” in Candles by Shani, in Piliyandala, Colombo. Every piece is hand-poured, sculpted and finished by hand, from a single flower candle bowl to four hundred daisies for one wedding.

We believe a candle can say what words sometimes can't: thank you, congratulations, I love you, you are enough. So every order is wrapped with ribbon, a little note and a lot of care.

How do I order?

Message us on WhatsApp at 077 075 4871, or DM us on TikTok or Facebook. Tell us the candle, colours, quantity and the date you need it, and we'll confirm the details and price. Our order designer writes the message for you.

Do you deliver?

Yes. Our studio is in Piliyandala, Colombo, and we deliver island-wide across Sri Lanka. Worldwide delivery is available too. Just ask us for the rate to your city or country.

Can I personalise my candles?

Absolutely. We add names, dates and short messages to tags and labels, like our “Thank You” flower bowls and wedding name tags, and we can match colours to your theme.

Do you take wedding & bulk orders?

Yes. We've completed 100+ wedding and bulk orders, including 400 daisy candles for a single wedding. Message us early with your date so we can plan your order with you.

How much do they cost?

Prices depend on the design, size, packaging and quantity. Send us your idea on WhatsApp for a quick quote, or browse the WhatsApp catalogue.

How should I care for my candle?
  • Always burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, curtains, children and pets.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended. Blow it out before you leave the room.
  • Float floating candles in a bowl of water, and keep petals and decorations away from the flame.
  • Sculpted pieces like the muse and teddy also make lovely keepsakes to display.
